My garden is ever evolving. But I believe that’s the nature of gardens. Honestly, my idea of gardening evolves too.
I love to begin a day here and end a day here. It enlivens me to start my day and calms me to be ready for rest.
It’s my small piece of heaven.
This barn has been the perfect place for my gallery over the past thirteen years. With all its quirks, it’s been perfect.
But sometimes change comes when you least expect it. And often those are the best changes.
At the end of summer we will be moving to a new location just down the street. And I truly believe it is going to be equally as perfect. It will feel different, but the same. Familiar, but fresh.
I have been given the liberty to design the space entirely. Inside and out.
It will allow me the additional space we need plus storage, which we have none of right now.
It is so fun creating a space that I get excited about people experiencing and enjoying. Yes it has to meet my needs but most of all I want it to be a place for you to retreat to and give you a bit of reprieve from the hectic world around you. I believe this is what it will be, just as the barn has been.
Even though there is a lot of work to do, I am so excited. I can’t wait to open the door for you and welcome you in. I will keep you posted as the day approaches.
In the meantime I hope you will come see us at the barn and help us enjoy the last weeks there as we celebrate with gratitude for all it has been.
Does it feel strange that another business will be going in this space? Not at all. I can’t wait to see what it becomes.
This decision was not taken lightly, but there are times that things work out in a way that I could never coordinate, and I listen.
We hope to see you in the next weeks and then again soon just down the road!
