My garden is ever evolving. But I believe that’s the nature of gardens. Honestly, my idea of gardening evolves too. I love to begin a day here and end a day here. It enlivens me to start my day and calms me to be ready for rest. It’s my small piece of heaven.
It’s a new year. I always love that feeling.
The tree is down. The ornaments are stored. The lights are unplugged for another year.
Life seems calmer, cleaner and a bit less cluttered. It’s a perfect time for a fresh start.
A fresh start.
Don’t we all desire that?
What lies behind us is littered with regret, poor choices and disappointment.
A fresh start brings a sense of hope, and hope is one thing we all want…….and need.
A new year, a fresh start, gives us hope that we can do better. We can regroup and get back on track. We can look at things from a different perspective. For a moment we can take a deep breath and slowly exhale.
Life is cumbersome and a bit overwhelming. That’s a fact.
To live with that fact, we have to know there’s hope. We have to know there are moments when we can stop, breathe and steer ourselves back on course when we’ve taken the wrong road, turned down a dead end street or headed for a crash.
If we could only see every day, each new morning, as a fresh start, our mole hills might not turn into mountains.
Much illness in the family ,both brother and sister. Could not keep up with the constant worry as they were both ill at the same time and both facing death at their door. But I look forward to a new year with hopes of all things to calm down and peace be restored in the family. There are already good signs. My brother is out of the Hospital and my sisters chemo treatments are working.Praying to God that the storm is gone for good and peace continues on through out the years to come.
