“Last Supper” Giclée

Sale price$475.00

  • Limited to an edition of 95

I vividly remember receiving the inspiration for the first “Last Supper” painting about 25 years ago. The concept. The symbolism. The rush of excitement. The eagerness to begin.

Those moments rise to the top of the “never to forget” memories of my time as an artist.

Over the years there have been several new interpretations. And for several years I have been wishing for a new one. But it just didn’t come. Until now.

This year the weightiness of the evening really hit me and that is what I wanted the painting to convey.

It was the darkest of nights. One that would appear to have no hope.

I wanted this painting to sit deeply in that darkness but not remain there. This darkness was the path taken for the true light to be revealed.

Jesus bearing the crown of thorns, to receive the ultimate crown, dwelling with the Trinity forevermore.

I don’t know if there will ever be another one. My guess is that this is the last “Last Supper”. If so, I am content. Grateful for being allowed to bring these paintings to life.

Giclées (meaning “sprayed ink”) utilize the latest technology in reproducing artwork that retains the subtle detail and color of the original. These giclées are produced on high quality canvas then stretched on a wood frame that is 1 1/2 inches deep. With “gallery wrap” edges, they are ready to hang since framing is not necessary. Since each giclée is produced at the time of order, your order will be shipped within 2-3 weeks. Each giclée is signed, numbered and limited to an edition of 95.
