“This painting best represents life as I know it.
I’m a sinner living in the darkness of a broken world. Even in this darkness, there is still beauty.
But I’m not left there.
When I look toward the Light as my way through, and out, of the darkness, I can rest in that and live in this present darkness not with fear, but with hope.
I then live by the Spirit that fills me with good things. Not just full, but to overflowing.
I’m still a sinner. I still live in the darkness.
But I’m forgiven.
And I live in peace.”
